Pacif­ic Tri­net­ics Cor­po­ra­tion con­tin­ues its coop­er­a­tion with Pro­fes­sor Farzad Ahmad­khan­lou and Pro­fes­sor Vince McDonell — fac­ul­ty advis­ers for the Engi­neer­ing Design in Indus­try (EDI) Pro­gram — in the Mechan­i­cal and Aero­space Engi­neer­ing Depart­ment of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cal­i­for­nia, Irvine (UCI.)

The pro­gram is designed to bring togeth­er fac­ul­ty, stu­dents, and advis­ers from par­tic­u­lar fields to explore prob­lems, improve exist­ing tech­nol­o­gy and exper­i­ment with new ideas with­in the indus­tri­al set­ting. The team is cur­rent­ly work­ing on upgrad­ing PTC’s via fill tech­nol­o­gy.  “We are proud of our involve­ment with UCI,” said Foad Ghalili, PTC’s Pres­i­dent.  “This is a win win sit­u­a­tion for every­one.”  Indeed, espe­cial­ly so for the stu­dents who get hands on expe­ri­ence in solv­ing real life indus­tri­al prob­lems through the pro­gram.
