Pacific Trinetics Corporation's latest model in
capacitor cutting provides many improvements for dicing technology. The CC-7300
Capacitor Cutting System is specifically designed for high speed, precision
cutting of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), chip inductors and LTCC/HTCC
packages and modules. The CC-7300 is engineered and built to meet the demanding
requirements for cutting today's miniature chip components. This guillotine
style blade cutting system, with its heated stage and blade, will accept a
ceramic bar size of up to 6" (152mm) square and make high quality cuts in
material as thick as 0.340" (8.64mm).It uses Windows Operating System to control the entire machine.

Manual Ceramic Cutting System For Lab
And Low Volume Production Applications
The
CS-MLC Manual Lab Cutter is Pacific Trinetics Corporations
solution for laboratory and low volume cutting of green ceramic
parts. The CS-MLC Cutter is both simple to use and extremely accurate.
Typical uses for the CS-MLC include precision cutting for tape
shrinkage characterization analysis, squaring up ceramic capacitor
and inductor bars in preparation for automatic cutting, processing
lab prototypes and low volume production cutting.
All
operations, including the blade stroke, are manual. A positive
mechanical stop is utilized to set the desired cut depth. The
stage rotates 90 degrees for first and second direction cuts.
The part is advanced to each cut location using the manual lead
screw. A linear encoder with digital display on the Y-axis produces
accurate (+/- .0005" or 12.5
mm)
incremental cutting. The dual cameras and split screen monitor
provides the operator with a visual alignment of the blade to
the cut fiducials. The blade and vacuum stage are heated and
monitored by independent temperature controllers. The CS-MLC
Cutter provides a simple and economical solution for low volume
cutting of green ceramic.

designed for high speed, precision cutting of larger size
format green ceramic tape. This guillotine style blade
cutting system, with its heated stage and blade, will
accept a ceramic bar size of up to 12" (305mm) square
and make high quality cuts in material as thick as .375"
(9.5mm). The system comes with direct drives on all its
5 axes of motion and precision ground ballscrews and linear
encoders for higher accuracy and repeatability in its
cutting operations. The CC-7112 is an ideal production
machine for multilayer ceramic capacitors, chip inductors,
LTCC packages and other hybrid components. It uses
Windows Operating System to control the entire machine.
